Author: Lawrence Schimel / Illustrated by Elīna Braslina
A young boy is awake before his mums and sister. It's too early to make a sound...but what's that noise?! Two rumbling tummies need to be fed! Letting themselves into the kitchen, the boy and his cat finish their breakfast just in time to say "Good morning" when the rest of the family wakes up.
Pairs well with Bedtime, Not Playtime!
This is an adorable story about a small human and the family cat getting up to mischief, while his mums and sister are still asleep. The illustrations are bright and colourful, quirky and cute. Depicting a same-sex family was enough to get this book banned in a few places, but we think it is worth celebrating here in Aotearoa-New Zealand!
